Gowest Amalgamated Resources Ltd - Detailed Search for
Platinum Deposit on Manitoba Property Underway

Gowest's new platinum discovery is located 35 km southwest of the
mining community of Thompson, Manitoba at Cuthbert Lake. It has
been decided to undertake a detailed search for an enhanced
version of the surface occurrence at Cuthbert Lake. The platinum
group metals are associated with nickel and copper sulphides.
This mineralogy displays magnetic and conductive characteristics
that can be identified by magnetic and induced polarization
surveys.

To control the surveys a 100 km grid is to be established on the
most favourable portion of the Gowest claims, totaling 1774
hectares. Initially, the magnetic survey will be completed.
Survey results will be documented and interpreted to determine
those locations with the best potential for conductive sulphides.
These locations will be surveyed by induced polarization
instrumentation. Thereafter, anomalous features that best
represent nickel and copper bearing sulphides, presumably
associated with platinum group metals, will be tested by diamond
drilling.

The extensive water coverage of the property necessitates that
this program be completed during the winter months. Cost of the
program, including allocation of $165,000 for diamond drilling is
estimated at $288,000. This work is underway and weather
permitting, the magnetic survey will be completed by the end of
December.
