Gowest Amalgamated Resources Ltd. Enters Into Agreement
With Northway Explorations Limited
Shares Outstanding: 9,709,333
GOWEST AMALGAMATED RESOURCES LTD. ("Gowest") has entered into an
agreement with Northway Explorations Limited ("Northway"), a TSE
listed company, pursuant to which agreement Gowest has granted to
Northway an option to earn an undivided 40% interest in Gowest's
26 unpatented mineral claims in the Wintering and Cuthbert Lakes
area of Manitoba (the "Claims"). To acquire a 40% interest,
Northway must fund an aggregate of $300,000 for exploration of
the Claims prior to December 31, 2001. Northway is firmly
committed to fund only $180,000; however no interest in the
Claims will be earned by Northway unless it funds $300,000 of
exploration expenditures.
The Claims are held by Gowest under an option agreement ( the
"Underlying Agreement") with Emile Chaboyer ("Chaboyer") pursuant
to which Underlying Agreement Gowest can acquire a 100% interest
in the Claims by paying to Chaboyer an aggregate of $100,000
($10,000 of which has been paid) over a three year period ending
May 15, 2003. The Claims are subject to a 2% net smelter returns
royalty reserved to Chaboyer. Pending Northway exercising its
said option, Gowest shall maintain the Claims in good standing
and make all option payments to Chaboyer pursuant to the
Underlying Agreement. If Northway exercises its option and
acquires a 40% interest in the Claims, then any option payments
remaining to be paid to Chaboyer under the Underlying Agreement
shall payable by Gowest as to a 60% share and by Northway as to
a 40% share.
