Gowest Amalgamated Resources Ltd: Drilling Planned for
Frankfield Gold Deposit in Timmins

TORONTO, ONTARIO--Management of Gowest and New Texmont
Explorations Ltd have agreed that now is the time to commence the
development of their jointly owned (50:50) portion of the
Frankfield gold deposit. It is located 40 kilometres northeast of
central Timmins, Ontario in Tully Township.

Various programs of drilling were completed to explore the
deposit during the period 1975 to 1991. The drilling has traced
the mineralized zone 400 metres horizontally and 600 metres
vertically. The stratabound nature of the gold mineralization
accounts for the exceptional continuity, for the Timmins camp, of
the deposit. Widths of the mineralization range from a few to
over 20 metres. Almost every drill hole that intersected the
mineralized zone returned anomalous gold values, ranging from 3
to 12 grams per tonne. Because of the widely and irregularly
spaced drill hole intercepts, it is not feasible to make a useful
and reliable estimate of the grade and tonnage of the resource.

As a first stage in the acquisition of the required gold
intercept data, it is planned to drill about 20 holes totaling
6000 metres (20,000 feet). The holes, specifically located to
intersect the Frankfield gold zone at 50 metre intervals will
enable a reliable estimate of the gold mineral resource. It is
expected that the program will start in early January.
