Gowest Announces Grant of Options

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 1, 2008) - Gowest Amalgamated Resources Ltd. ("the Company") (TSX VENTURE:GWA), a mineral exploration company, announces that options to purchase 395,000 common shares of the company have been granted to directors, officers and consultants. The options are exercisable at $0.15 and are exercisable until May 1, 2013.

The options are subject to regulatory approval.
