Gowest Announces Grant of Options

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 5, 2008) - Gowest Amalgamated Resources Ltd. ("the Company") (TSX VENTURE:GWA), a mineral exploration company, announces that options to purchase up to 370,000 common shares of the company have been granted to a director and consultants of the company. The options are exercisable at $0.15 and are exercisable until August 5, 2013.

The options are subject to regulatory approval.
