Burger King Canada to present $2.3 million birthday gift to SickKids and Toronto artist Micah Donovan launches his kids-inspired, hot-air balloon creation

Kids at The Hospital for Sick Children will experience the joy of a birthday party by taking flight with an interactive art project directed by Toronto artist Micah Donovan – all part of the celebrations to commemorate the "birth" of Burger King Canada's fundraising partnership with SickKids Foundation 10 years ago.

To celebrate, patients will be treated like "royalty for the day". Festivities include visits from therapeutic clowns, birthday activities and engineering artist Micah Donovan will showcase his three-dimensional, functional hot-air balloon to inspire children to create their own colourful creations.

Burger King Canada will present a gift to the Foundation at the event, representing more than $2.3 million raised in BURGER KING® restaurants across Canada over the past 10 years, to go along with their commitment to raise an additional $200,000 in 2010.
