Talisman Energy Added to Jantzi Social Index(R)

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - April 2, 2007) - Talisman Energy Inc. (TSX:TLM) (NYSE:TLM) has been added to the Jantzi Social Index^® (JSI^®), a socially screened, market capitalization-weighted common stock index modeled on the S&P/TSX 60. The JSI was launched in January 2006 with partners Dow Jones Indexes and State Street Global Advisors. The JSI includes 60 Canadian companies that pass a set of broadly-based environmental, social and governance screens.
